FOUNDER, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
An outdoorsman at heart, Curtis Goettsch was captivated by the splendor of the outdoors early in life. He took every chance he was given to fish with his parents and hunt with his grandfathers -the foundations of his outdoor insight and woodsmanship. Curtis started hunting deer with a shotgun while growing up in Iowa. Eventually, he became addicted to bowhunting. To this date, he has killed many Pope & young bucks and mature gobblers with archery equipment. “Whether it’s bowhunting big bucks or chasing that spring gobbler,” Curtis noted, “I love it all the same.”
These lifelong passions led Curtis to Upper Iowa University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Conservation Management. His long conservation career has allowed him to go in depth with studying and managing wildlife. In his day job back in Iowa, Curtis works for USDA’s Farm Service Agency. In this role he directs the Nation’s largest Conservation Reserve Program (CRP).
In addition, Curtis has thrived in the hunting industry as a videographer, photographer, writer and a Mossy Oak Prostaff member. As the founder of Victory Outdoors, Curtis continually strives to hone his skills in the field and on the water. Curtis' wife Kari and daughters, Natalie and Bristol, join in on these passions as they often hunt alongside him.
