I grew up in a small town in eastern Iowa, spending most of my time on the farm alongside my dad and uncle. From an early age, farm life taught me the value of hard work, patience, and respect for the land—lessons that continue to shape who I am today.

My introduction to hunting came at a young age when my dad bought me my first muzzleloader. While we had several close encounters over the years, it wasn’t until I was thirteen that I harvested my first deer. From that moment on, I was hooked. Through my teenage years and into college, I primarily hunted with a shotgun and muzzleloader alongside my father and uncle, making memories that laid the foundation for my lifelong passion for the outdoors.

College opened the door to an entirely new chapter in my hunting journey. A close friend introduced me to bow hunting and turkey hunting, and from that day forward, both became central to my life in the outdoors. I became deeply invested in every aspect of the process—setting properties up for success, scouting year-round, and hunting as many seasons as possible. Bow hunting, in particular, grew into a true passion, while I’ve always made it a priority to honor where it all started by continuing to hunt Iowa’s early muzzleloader season each year.

As my time bow hunting expanded, my passion for turkey hunting grew right alongside it. To date, I’ve completed 3 out of the 4 subspecies required for the U.S. turkey Grand Slam, with my sights set on harvesting an osceola turkey in Florida to complete the slam.

Outside of hunting, I work as a Territory Manager for an agricultural equipment manufacturer, partnering with dealers across Iowa, Minnesota, and Missouri. Agriculture and the outdoors are more than a career or a hobby for me—they’re a way of life. I firmly believe that my passion for both was forged during those early years spent on the farm with my family and in the woods chasing whitetails.

At the core of everything I do is a deep appreciation for the land, the pursuit, and the people who share this lifestyle. Hunting has shaped my values, my work ethic, and my purpose, and I’m grateful for every season, every sunrise, and every opportunity to be outdoors.
